What is Alzheimer’s disease? Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia. Alzheimer’s disease accounts for 60% to 80% of dementia cases. This is because the vaccine has not had enough time to provide immunity. To help protect yourself before and after you receive the COVID-19 vaccine: y Wear a mask to protect yourself and others and stop the spread of COVID-19. y Stay at least 6 feet from others who don’t live with you. y Avoid crowds.
